Interim Promotional Compliance Specialist

We are seeking an experienced Promotional Compliance Specialist for a consulting assignment within Medical Affairs at a global pharmaceutical company. This role is focused on ensuring that all promotional and external communication activities meet applicable regulatory, ethical, and scientific standards.

Period: Fulltime, approximately 8 months, with the possibility of extension.

Location: Based in the Stockholm area. Hybrid solution.

About the assignment

In this role, you will take ownership of the review and approval of promotional materials to ensure full compliance with relevant regulations, ethical codes, and internal SOPs. You will operate at the intersection of Medical Affairs, Marketing, and Regulatory, acting as a key advisor in marketing compliance matters.

You will work closely with cross-functional stakeholders, providing scientific and compliance guidance while ensuring that all materials are accurate, balanced, and evidence-based. The role requires strong integrity, independent decision-making, and the ability to assess and mitigate risks in a structured way.

You will also play an important role in facilitating alignment between stakeholders, managing differing perspectives, and ensuring that compliance standards are upheld without compromising business needs.

Qualifications

We are looking for a candidate with:

• An advanced degree in medicine or life sciences (e.g., PharmD, MSc or equivalent).
• IMA eduction is required.
• Minimum 3 years of experience within the pharmaceutical industry, preferably in medical or marketing compliance review.
• Strong knowledge of marketing compliance requirements, ethical codes, regulations, and internal SOPs.
• High scientific rigor and the ability to make accurate, evidence-based assessments.
• Proven experience working in cross-functional teams (e.g., Medical, Marketing, Regulatory).
• Solid experience reviewing promotional materials from a compliance perspective.
• Strong ethical integrity and a clear patient-focused mindset.
• Ability to work independently and proactively manage risks.
• Strong negotiation skills and the ability to handle and resolve conflicts effectively.
• Good understanding of the Swedish pharmaceutical landscape.
• Excellent communication skills in both Swedish and English, written and spoken.
