Interim Nordic Medical & Access Lead

We are looking for an experienced leader to head the Medical Affairs and Market Access functions across the Nordics for an international pharmaceutical company. This is a senior strategic role combining scientific leadership, market access and people management. As a member of the Nordic Leadership Team, you will also contribute to the overall direction, priorities and development of the Nordic organisation.

Period: Immediate start – 31 December 2026.

Location: Nordics, with priority given to Denmark or Sweden.

 

Key Responsibilities

·       Develop and execute the Nordic Medical Affairs and Market Access strategy in alignment with regional and global priorities.

·       Lead key medical and scientific activities and ensure strong engagement with healthcare professionals, scientific experts and other external stakeholders.

·       Oversee Market Access activities, including pricing, reimbursement and HTA processes.

·       Provide medical and access expertise to strategic planning, launch preparation and business development activities.

·       Ensure compliance with relevant pharmaceutical regulations, industry codes and internal standards.

·       Lead, coach and develop the Nordic Medical Affairs and Market Access team.

·       Collaborate closely with commercial and other cross-functional leaders to align scientific, access and business priorities.

·       As a member of the Nordic Leadership Team, contribute to strategic and organisational decisions and the achievement of overall business objectives.

 

Your Background

You have an advanced degree in medicine, pharmacy, life sciences or a related scientific discipline, combined with several years of experience within Medical Affairs and/or Market Access in the pharmaceutical industry.

You bring:

·       Strong understanding of the Nordic pharmaceutical and healthcare environment.

·       Vast experience within Medical Affairs, Market Access, pricing, reimbursement and/or HTA.

·       Strong strategic, analytical and stakeholder management capabilities.

·       The ability to work effectively across functions and within an international matrix organisation.

·       Fluency in English; a Nordic language is an advantage.

The role requires a strategic, collaborative and pragmatic leader who combines scientific credibility with strong business understanding and the ability to translate strategy into execution.
